بدعوة كريمة من الجمعية السورية الكندية للأعمال (SYCAB) والسفارة الكندية. شارك أعضاء المجلس الكندي السوري في دمشق في دعوة إفطار رسمية،
وجاء اللقاء بحضور سعادة السفير الكندي السيد غريغوري غاليغان، حيث شكّل هذا الحدث أول نشاط رسمي تنظمه السفارة الكندية في دمشق، في خطوة تعكس أهمية تعزيز التواصل والحوار بين البلدين.
شهد اللقاء مشاركات مهمة حول أبرز القضايا المشتركة، وسبل تطوير التعاون الاقتصادي والاستثماري بما يخدم مصالح سوريا وكندا. كما تم توجيه الشكر للحكومة الكندية على مبادرتها بتخفيف العقوبات على سوريا، باعتبارها خطوة إيجابية نحو دعم التعافي الاقتصادي وفتح آفاق أوسع للتعاون البنّاء.
حضر اللقاء معالي وزير المالية السيد يسر برنية، وحاكم مصرف سوريا المركزي السيد عبد القادر حصرية، والسيد طلال الهلالي مدير هيئة الاستثمار، إلى جانب نخبة من رجال الأعمال وغرف الصناعة والتجارة من السوريين الكنديين.

The Canadian Syrian Board responded to an official Iftar invitation extended by the Embassy of Canada and the Syrian Canadian Association for Business (SYCAB) in Damascus.
The event, held in the presence of the Canadian Ambassador, marked the first official activity organized by the Canadian Embassy in Damascus, reflecting the importance of strengthening communication and dialogue between the two countries.
The gathering included important discussions on key issues of mutual interest and ways to advance economic and investment cooperation in a manner that serves the interests of both Syria and Canada. Appreciation was also extended to the Government of Canada for its initiative to ease sanctions on Syria, as a positive step toward supporting economic recovery and opening broader prospects for constructive cooperation.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency the Minister of Finance, Mr. Yisr Barnieh; the Governor of the Central Bank of Syria, Mr. Abdul Qader Hasriya; and Mr. Talal Al-Hilali, Director of the Investment Authority, in addition to a distinguished group of Syrian-Canadian business leaders and representatives of chambers of industry and commerce.
