شهدت دمشق احتفالًا دبلوماسيًا بمناسبة يوم أوروبا، أقامته بعثة الاتحاد الأوروبي بدعوة من القائم بالأعمال للاتحاد الأوروبي في سوريا Michael Ohnmacht، وبحضور وزير الخارجية والمغتربين السوري أسعد حسن الشيباني وعدد من الوزراء والمسؤولين والشخصيات العامة.
ويحمل تنظيم هذا الاحتفال في دمشق دلالات إيجابية تعكس استمرار التواصل والانفتاح بين الاتحاد الأوروبي وسوريا، وفتح آفاق جديدة للتعاون خلال المرحلة القادمة.
ويفتخر المجلس الكندي السوري بمشاركة عضو المجلس السيد معاوية الأحمد الزيدي ضمن الحضور في هذا الحدث الهام. وعلى هامش الاحتفال، عُقد لقاء خاص جمعه بالقائم بالأعمال للاتحاد الأوروبي في سوريا Michael Ohnmacht، حيث جرى التأكيد على أهمية تعزيز العلاقات مع الجاليات السورية في الخارج، ودعم دور أبناء الجالية السورية في كندا ودول الاتحاد الأوروبي في تشجيع الاستثمار والمساهمة في دعم التنمية داخل سوريا. 🇸🇾🇨🇦🇪🇺
Damascus hosted a diplomatic celebration marking Europe Day, organized by the Mission of the European Union and hosted by the Chargé d’Affaires of the European Union to Syria, Michael Ohnmacht, with the attendance of Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani, along with several ministers, officials, and public figures.
Holding this event in Damascus carries positive significance, reflecting continued communication and openness between the European Union and Syria, while opening new opportunities for cooperation in the coming period.
The Canadian Syrian Board is proud of the participation of board member Mr. Muawiya Al-Ahmad Al-Zaidi in this important event. On the sidelines of the celebration, Mr. Al-Zaidi attended a special meeting with Michael Ohnmacht, where discussions highlighted the importance of strengthening relations with Syrian communities abroad and supporting the role of Syrians in Canada and European Union countries in encouraging investment and contributing to development efforts inside Syria. 🇸🇾🇨🇦🇪🇺
