عُقد لقاء في العاصمة السورية دمشق، بحضور عدد من أعضاء المجلس الكندي السوري (CSB) مع المستشار الدكتور قحطان سلوم، والسيد صالح العبد معاون وزير المالية لشؤون الموازنات والسياسات المالية، ومندوب من الأمم المتحدة، وعدد من السادة الأمناء والمسؤولين.

وقد جاء هذا اللقاء بدعوة كريمة من السيد فراس نسمة، أحد أعضاء المجلس الكندي السوري (CSB)، وهو من رجال الأعمال والمستثمرين السوريين الكنديين، حيث جرى بحث عدد من المشاريع الاستثمارية التي يعمل عليها مستثمرون سوريون كنديون في إطار دعم جهود إعادة الإعمار في سوريا، إضافة إلى طرح ومناقشة الفرص الاستثمارية المتاحة خلال المرحلة القادمة.

وأكد الحضور أهمية تعزيز التعاون الاقتصادي والاستثماري، وتشجيع مساهمة الكفاءات ورجال الأعمال السوريين في الخارج في دعم عملية التنمية وإعادة البناء بما يسهم في مستقبل أفضل لسوريا. 🇸🇾 🇨🇦

A meeting was held in the Syrian capital, Damascus, bringing together several members of the Canadian Syrian Board (CSB) with Advisor Dr. Qahtan Salloum, Mr. Saleh Al-Abd, Assistant Minister of Finance for Budget and Fiscal Policy Affairs, a representative of the United Nations, and a number of senior officials and dignitaries.

The meeting was graciously hosted by Mr. Firas Nasma, a member of the Canadian Syrian Board (CSB) and a Syrian Canadian businessman and investor. Discussions focused on a number of investment projects led by Syrian Canadian investors in support of Syria’s reconstruction efforts, in addition to presenting and discussing investment opportunities for the coming phase.

Participants emphasized the importance of strengthening economic and investment cooperation and encouraging the contribution of Syrian professionals and business leaders abroad in supporting Syria’s development and reconstruction efforts toward a better future. 🇸🇾 🇨🇦
