يتقدم المجلس الكندي السوري بأصدق التهاني للدكتور عبد القادر حصرية بمناسبة تعيينه سفيراً للجمهورية العربية السورية لدى كندا اعتباراً من 15 مايو/أيار 2026، متمنين له التوفيق والنجاح في مهامه الدبلوماسية الجديدة بما يعزز العلاقات السورية الكندية ويخدم أبناء الجالية السورية في كندا.
ويُعد الدكتور عبد القادر حصرية من أبرز الخبرات السورية في مجالات السياسات العامة والإصلاح الاقتصادي والمالي، حيث شغل سابقاً منصب حاكم مصرف سورية المركزي، ويمتلك مسيرة مهنية وأكاديمية غنية امتدت لعقود في مجالات التشريعات المصرفية، الأسواق المالية، والاستشارات الاقتصادية الدولية.
ساهم الدكتور الحصرية في تطوير العديد من القوانين والأنظمة المالية والمصرفية في سوريا، كما شارك في مشاريع استثمارية واقتصادية كبرى، وتعاون مع مؤسسات دولية مرموقة مثل البنك الدولي وبرنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي.
وشغل خلال مسيرته مناصب قيادية في شركات عالمية كبرى، من بينها شركة “إرنست ويونغ” الدولية، إضافة إلى عضويته في عدد من الهيئات والمؤسسات المهنية والاقتصادية المحلية والدولية.
يحمل الدكتور الحصرية شهادات أكاديمية ومهنية مرموقة من جامعات ومؤسسات عالمية، من بينها الجامعة الأميركية في بيروت، جامعة درهم في المملكة المتحدة، وكلية أوسغوود للحقوق في كندا، إلى جانب عضويته في عدد من المعاهد المهنية الدولية.
إن هذا التعيين يعكس حضور الكفاءات السورية والخبرات الوطنية القادرة على تمثيل سوريا بصورة مشرّفة على الساحة الدولية.

The Canadian Syrian Board extends its sincere congratulations to Dr. Abdulkader Husriyeh on his appointment as Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to Canada, effective May 15, 2026.
Dr. Husriyeh is widely recognized as one of Syria’s leading experts in public policy, economic reform, and financial governance. Prior to his appointment, he served as Governor of the Central Bank of Syria and built a distinguished professional career spanning banking regulations, financial markets, investment policy, and international economic consulting.
Throughout his career, Dr. Husriyeh contributed to the development of major banking and financial legislation in Syria and participated in significant investment and development projects in cooperation with international institutions, including the World Bank and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
He also held senior leadership positions with major international firms, including Ernst & Young in the Middle East, in addition to serving on the boards of several financial and economic institutions.
Dr. Husriyeh holds multiple academic and professional qualifications from internationally respected institutions, including the American University of Beirut, Durham University in the United Kingdom, and Osgoode Hall Law School in Canada, alongside memberships in several international professional organizations.
This appointment reflects the important role of Syrian expertise and national competencies in representing Syria on the international stage and strengthening relations between Syria and Canada.
